What this is
StarWatchr started as a personal project to better understand the night sky. It brings together essential astronomical data and weather conditions in a single clear overview, making it easier to decide when the sky is worth observing.
What it does
StarWatchr combines astronomy data and weather forecasts to help stargazers and astrophotographers plan observing sessions with better awareness of sky conditions.
Forecast
A clear overview of upcoming stargazing conditions including cloud cover, darkness and atmospheric stability.
Sun & Moon
Sunrise, sunset, twilight phases and daily moon information to understand how dark the sky will be.
Planets
Rise and set times for the planets in our solar system to see when they are visible from your location.
Location-based
All calculations are tailored to the observing location you choose.
APOD
Explore NASA's Astronomy Picture of the Day and the story behind it.
Deep Sky Objects & Starhop Maps
Discover deep sky objects and use simple star-hopping maps to locate them in the night sky.
Atlas
Navigate the night sky and explore stars, constellations, Messier and Caldwell deep sky objects. Or take a tour through the Solar System.
Solar System
Explore planets, the Moon and other solar system objects, including their positions and visibility in the sky.
Alerts (coming soon)
Receive notifications when sky conditions are ideal for stargazing and astronomical observations.
